Or even git bash? The most frustrating thing is the graphical interface for branching is easily the best that I've seen, and integrates with git flow so well in my opinion.
Could not find a compatible repository gitkraken for mac os#
Now that my rant is over, you may be thinking, why don't I just use SmartGit or SourceTree? Gitkraken Mac Gitkraken For Mac Os Good luck googling that issue you're having with it. 6) There are no community revolving around gitkraken at all. I have to open the repo in a different git client to have them fix the issue instead.

5) 'Unable to find compatible repository' every other day, usually after every other reset of commits. No progress bar when pushing, no progress bars when commiting, nothing. This is something extremely trivial on SmartGit (ctrl+a - rightclick - resolve).Ĥ) No progress bars. When projects have 50+ meta file conflicts, GitKraken expects you to click on every single file, open up their conflict solver (which takes 2-10 seconds just to open, and again to save) and only then do you get to resolve conflicts. 3) Can't select multiple files when resolving conflicts. Simple discarding of changes or resetting of commits or even just pushing new commits easily take up to twice the amount of time or more when compared to SmartGit or SourceTree. 2) It is incredibly slow (yes, even in ver 2.5 which was supposed to be much faster). And when I say crash, I mean freeze at a infinite loading screen loop that will stay that way forever with no error or crash messages. Here is a non-exhaustive list of reasons why: 1) It crashes every 2 minutes. I have been using GitKraken for a good 3 months now, and compared to something like SmartGit, it is one of the most frustrating git clients I've ever come across. It helps developers become more productive and efficient with Git. GitKraken is a Git GUI client for Windows, Mac and Linux. Git is not an acronym or initialism: please write git or Git, but not GIT. I wasn't okay with that. From: Git is a distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency. Well, I guess that there is an even more extreme step, in that you could delete the repo and re-clone but you would lose all local branches, stashes, and unpushed commits. Ok, if you are still having trouble and are CERTAIN that you do not need anything in your reflog, INCLUDING YOUR STASH, you can expire all of it now and clean up (garbage collect) the dangling refs: git reflog expire -expire=now -all To get my GitKraken working again, I need to go with the Nuclear Option. Those are temp files that should have been filled with data or deleted but were not, for. I also found some zero byte objects, which should not be.

The corrupted lines in my log had loads of strange symbols and were like 4 time the length of the other lines. All of the lines should look very much the same (from-hash, to-hash, timestamp, user, message, and so on). git/logs/refs/remotes/*/* for any lines that look extremely unusual. A SolutionÄigging a little deeper I found that, apparently, something got corrupted in my reflog. Other tools (Giggle, gitg, git-gui, and the git CLI) all seemed to work just fine.

However, after about a minute, it would unload the repo and start trying to load it again, but just hang trying to load. It would keep presenting this "compatible repository" message even though it would load the repo and let me stage and browse commits. I just had this same issue with GitKraken.
